How we work

We provide the umbrella solution to contractors helping them to maximise their net take home pay in a safe, simple and compliant way. Operating for nearly four years, we have assisted many contractors and have built a reputation for a personal, friendly service.

We work hard to build a rapport with your agency, so that any payment issues can be quickly resolved. We have developed our in-house technology to ensure you receive your payment promptly, but we don’t force you to effectively do all the input yourself, via the internet. Our service is flexible, to suit you – you can provide your hours by phone, fax, email or text, and, if you are in the area, you can always call in and give us the hours personally – we would be pleased to see you!

What are the benefits of the Umbrella Solution?
The objective of an umbrella company is for contractors to benefit from being legally tax-efficient, without having to worry about the IR35 "contractors' tax". This means we will employ you directly and calculate and deduct tax and National Insurance Contributions at source. We will also bill clients and provide administration support and payroll. This will make your work completely consistent with the objectives of HM Revenue and Customs and IR35. So, you have the peace of mind of knowing you are legal.

The real advantage of an umbrella company is that it provides a safe, simple and compliant method of employment for those freelance contractors who don’t want the considerable responsibilities, administration and hassle of running their own company. How does the Umbrella Company Service Work?
Simply, our company allows you to work without the need to operate your own limited company and fulfils all of the administration on your behalf. We will sign a contract with your agency, and you will have a separate employment agreement with us. You will become our employee which allows you to get paid in a similar way to a PAYE employee, but with the added benefit of being able to claim expenses which means some of your income is tax free.

We will liaise with your agency from the beginning. Starting with the contract and continuing with timesheets, raising invoices, calculating expenses and issuing payments. We provide both weekly and monthly service options, with no joining or termination fees. You receive a salary net of Employee's National Insurance and PAYE tax, although by claiming legitimate business expenses you will receive some tax and national insurance relief. As you are paid through a PAYE scheme, your contract is not caught by the IR35 or MSC legislation.
